Together, HUG and Meta Angels will be building an integrated, scaled community for NFT collectors and creators, while also continuing our work to onboard millions who are still just crypto-curious. As many of you know, I initially met our co-founder, Debbie Soon, through the Meta Angels community and have partnered with Alex Cavoulacos, Allyson Downey, and their team since day 1, so this is truly an exciting moment for all.

It’s been HUG’s mission from the beginning to build the inclusiverse. Today, we are one step closer on that journey by merging two communities that have shared aligned values since the beginning, something that has been evident in the high overlap of our respective holder bases. Going forward, combining our shared resources, team, and vision, will allow us to accelerate growth and maximize impact in Web3 to make it as inviting and accessible as possible.

The vision Debbie and I have for HUG is bigger and broader than what you have already seen today, from HUG Studios to our social curation platform thehug.xyz, and beyond. To help us achieve these goals, Alex, founder of Meta Angels, will be joining us full-time as COO and Head of Product, while Ally will share her expertise as an advisor.

We will begin integrating our respective communities over the next couple of weeks, starting by opening our HUG Discord to Meta Angels holders on Nov 17! Both HUG and Meta Angels holders will also enjoy expanded benefits and offerings, more of which are detailed in this FAQ.
