HUG founders Randi and Debbie represented at VeeCon this week and, like a big warm HUG, it was just what we needed after a few hard weeks for the community. Being around such brilliant, ambitious, and genuine humans with shared goals and equal determination was so inspirational, and we couldn't be more proud to be building in public alongside all of you.

What we have been building

We know that it's hard to keep up with everything in Web3, but in case you need a reminder, here's what we have been up to and everything the community has accomplished in just 3 months!

✅ For creators… three incubator programs: groupHUG (established Web3 teams), airHUG (artists building community) and hedgeHUG (new creators). Randi personally advises each and every project.

✅ For curators… our community is building HUGhub, our NFT review and aggregation platform, which already has 3,000 reviews!

✅ For anyone looking to get more involved in Web3… opportunities to gain experience and network through our committees focused on: brand building, supporting incubator artists & projects, event planning, keeping our community safe, & much more!

ICYMI - Highlights from the week

It was a busy week for our HUG friends and family, and we want to celebrate your achievements!

• Wow Pixies founder Lily Wu spoke at the at the United Nations  WEDO2022 Summit about how NFTs and DAOs can support women.

• Curious Addys launched their new Web3 Library, full of incredible resources on just about any Web3 topic you can think of. 

• The fashionistas at Eyes of Fashion spoke NFTs and rubbed shoulders with celebrities at the World Influencers Awards at the Cannes Film Festival, and also stepped into Augmented Reality with the launch of their first Instagram filter. 

• Oh, and Eyes of Fashion joined two other groupHUG teams announced as featured artists for NFT.NYC: Valeria from Girlies, and Glam Beckett from Sad Girls Bar!

• Our friends Computer Cowgirls launched their fundraiser mint in support of #reproductiverights this week. The cause is SO important and the art is badass and we encourage everyone to check it out.

At HUG, we...

• Announced the winners of our first Twitter Space pitch contest. Jack and Vanshika will be hosting a new show to spotlight underrepresented artists, and Yreal will be hosting a new show to teach you how to tell your story at Web3.

• Met a whole bunch of you IRL at VeeCon. We can't wait to give more IRL hugs at NFT NYC!
