ICYMI... Highlights from our HUG fam

• This week Boss Beauties joined forces with Julia Landauer and GarageXYZ and became the first NFT companies to ever sponsor a driver in NASCAR. Congratulations Julia on a spectacular NASCAR debut! 🏁

• Curious Addys gave us all a much needed hug, sharing some important advice on navigating this bear market as a creator/founder. It can be hard to stay positive when the industry we love is under so much pressure, but at HUG we just keep building, and growing and supporting each other so that we are that much stronger at the other end.

• 8sians announced that they are going to be showcasing local traditional crafts from Sarawak, Malaysia and the sneak peeks look beautiful. Stay tuned to their Twitter for more details!

• The biggest NFT event in Japan, NFTokyo 2022 was held this week, and it was great to see Toshi-san from our groupHUG project generativemasks take the stage alongside other big names from Japanese Web3! 高瀬敏明さん、おめでとうございます。

• Infinity Labs NFT has launched their new community platform and grants to support creators building in the Infinity Labs ecosystem.

• We have known for a while that WOW Pixies is evolving but this week we got a sneak peek into their next collection, by artist Reem. in the true spirit of DAOs, the WoWPixies community are helping to make choices every step of the way.

• Sacred Skulls dropped another mesmerizing chapter of their new lore where we follow Sacred Traveller Thera on her journey deeper into Web3, and help the community choose which direction the story should take. 𝔖𝔬𝔪𝔢𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢 𝔡𝔬𝔢𝔰𝔫’𝔱 𝔮𝔲𝔦𝔱𝔢 𝔣𝔢𝔢𝔩 𝔯𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱...

• The incredible Glam Beckett from Sad Girls Bar has released her manifesto on Medium and it is wonderful to hear about the meaning and power of the SGB imagery and the the thinking behind the brand.

Other HUG updates

• The HUG family also grew a little bigger as we welcomed the wonderful Amy to the team. Amy will be supporting artists, founders and creators within the HUG ecosystem, so make sure you jump over and welcome her on Twitter!

• This week we also held our second Moonbeam Media Pitch contest and we are so excited to congratulate community members Nix and Kim Dillon were selected by the HUG community as the winners! They will be taking over the HUG Twitter Spaces during July and August.

• Our Mother Hugger Randi has been on a well deserved vacation in Rwanda this week where she met our inspiring hedgeHUG team NABU, before stopping over in Hawaii to go gorilla trekking! It looks like you had an incredible trip Randi, but we are glad to have you back!
