Added alpha? You can now get HUGs on Instagram
📸 HUG is now on Instagram 📸
Get your art discovered on HUG
This past week, we partnered with the most hug-worthy Web3 communities to invite their favorite artists to get discovered on HUG. In under a week, we’ve received nearly one hundred applications! 🤯 As a community-curated platform, huggers will be working together to curate which of their favorite applications will be published to HUG.
Do you want to have a shareable, searchable, and customizable page to showcase your collections and social links? Applications are still open to claim a HUG Artist Profile of your very own 🤗
Grow Your Income Through Commissions
Are you a collector that needs help bringing an idea to life?
Are you a creator looking to diversify your offerings?
HUG has just rolled out a new feature that lets connects collectors to creators open for commissions and allows them to submit their requests directly from our platform.
You can read more about commissions in the latest edition of our weekly newsletter dedicated to educating creators, Creator Royalties. Read into our past issues covering artificial intelligence, smart contracts, open editions, and more.
Infinite Love by Joy Chiang
Our airHUG Artist-in-Residence, Joy Chiang, has just released her first timed edition on Manifold! Joy is a Chinese-Australian artist, mother, and urban planner. Her abstract artworks are a reflection of the complexity and beauty of motherhood, as well as the struggles and triumphs of finding one's identity.
“Infinite Love” tells the timeless story of the infinite love and bond between mother and child. The use of chrysanthemums is a nod to Joy’s heritage symbolic of longevity and devotion in Chinese culture.
✨Excited to finally share my timed edition artwork on my own @manifoldxyz contract! ✨
An animated tribute to the infinite love and bond between mother and child. It was a journey and a half, but I couldn't be more proud of the final result. ❤️
A story 🧵

🌊FREE MINT: Waterfall🌊
Every month, Meta Angels partners with Adobe to commission a piece from an underrepresented, emerging artist. The recipient of January’s Artist-in-Residence scholarship was the ever-experimental Mariana Blatnik, who creates fine art with alcohol inks and a blowdryer.
Holders of the HUG Pass and Meta Angels can claim her piece, waterfall.
Don't wait! This free mint closes on February 7.
“Many times, we bury our feelings and hide away our emotions, but it only worsens. Everything becomes more complicated and difficult to control. When it bursts, it feels like a waterfall. Unstoppable and intense. It can only be eased with compassion and a hug from a loved one.”
💜Introducing our February Artist-in-Residence💜
It is with great pleasure that we introduce our Meta Angels x Adobe Artist-in-Residence for February: Vanora Vaz aka VanGoDoodle!
Vanora is an illustrator, musician, and former architect who focuses on raising mental health awareness through magical purple art. Her art uses the language of illustrated storytelling to explore interpersonal relationships and emotional issues. Her goal is to start powerful conversations and facilitate change one artwork at a time!

Want to get introduced to tens of thousands of possible collectors with a proven increase in growth and sales?
Every Sunday, Avril15 and HUG promote Web3's emergent artists with less than 2000 followers. Applicants are then immediately under consideration to be added to HUG pending curatorial review, so they stay discoverable all year long!
It was about this time last year I met my cofounder @debsoon in Discord (with thanks to our now COO @acav)✨
Since then, we've organically grown @thehugxyz to a network of over 2 million and have advised over 1000 creators!
I'm grateful for Debbie 🤗
Who are you grateful for?

Don't believe me? Just look at Andy Warhol.
Here's why and how you should make commissions a part of your offering 🧵
